Hiatus and Wilson BetemitI am almost settled into the new house, so things should be calming down soon and my hiatus will be over. I did want to say one thing about todays game though. Wilson Betemit has shown yet again that he needs to be playing everyday. I also think batting him leadoff is a good idea, as he seemed to spark a few of the others by starting the game off the way he did. |

I was visiting a friend this weekend who had had a seizure the night before. He received an automated phone call from John Smoltz. I thought he was going to have another seizure when he hung up. It was Smoltz asking for my friend to vote for Ralph Reed for Lt. Governor of GA.

Ralph Reed represents everything that is wrong with this country. My brain hurts just thinking of all the shady schemes the weasel has been involved with.
For John Smoltz to be associated with this guy is very upsetting. I hope he is moved to the bull pen and is then traded and leaves Atlanta angry and upset. I can no longer root for Smoltz when he pitches.
Glavine and Maddux wouldn’t have pulled this crap!
