I have had another site, The Braves Board for a while now. It used to be named The Braves Blog, even though it technically wasn’t a blog. On the evening of Saturday, March 18th, 2006, I decided to create an actual blog about the Braves, and The Braves Blog was born. I didn’t abandon my other site obviously, but I did rename it to the above name, which is definitely a more acurate description of what that site is all about.

The blogging software used for this site is WordPress v2.0.2. Dreamhost my webhosting company, offers “one-click installs” of many popular web applications, including WordPress. I simply selected it from the dreamhost control panel, and within 2 minutes its was ready.

I spent a while looking for the perfect theme, knowing I wanted something that had three columns. I tried out a good amount, all of which looked simple, but were very complex when it came to customization. Finally I found Journalized Blue 1.01 by Mike Little. It looked nice, and was designed very well on the backend. It didn’t take me any time at all to change it to the current color scheme as well as customize the sections on the sidebars to what they are now.
